Zombieland proved to be a big hit at the box office. The horror-comedy, directed Reuben Fleischer, knocked Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs from its number one slot - which it held for two weeks. Zombieland grossed an estimated $25 million. Cloudy came in at number two with $16 million.
The Toy Story/Toy Story 2 3-D re-releases came in at number three with $12.5 million.
Is a Zombieland sequel just around the corner now? Writers Reese and Wernick told us if it grosses enough for Sony to feel secure with a follow-up, we just might see more adventures featuring Columbus and Tallahassee. What did you think of the film? Tell us here!

I saw this a few weeks ago and loved it. It was also very clear that this would go on to being the highest grossing zombie film ever, and probably by a mile at that.
It's a LOT of fun, has some clever scenarios, and the gore is plentiful yet accesible and not off putting. And it has the best title sequence in as long as I can remember.
Highly recommended.

Since ZOMBIELAND was originally conceived as a pilot for a TV series, I guess this is one of the cases where a sequel doesn't necessarily mean "unnecessary sell-out".

Wow, a clever horror-themed movie that doesn't feature brainless teenagers getting hacked up is number one at the box office? Maybe, just maybe, audience taste has changed a bit. I hope they make more movies like Zombieland.
Now bring on Trick R' Treat tomorrow!

Two thumbs way up! Laugh out loud comedy with extreme gore in bonus. Excellent movie and I agree, the title sequence just blew me away. Sooooo funny yet soooooooo gross. For those who know: Buckle up kids!

They should call the sequel "Zombieland: Double Tap"! Great movie.
