I really hope Fuller gets cancer.

3-D is the worst ploy to make movies more money in the history of making movies. It's purely to make a little more money, purely to line their pockets, nothing like giving the fans the middle finger and TELLING us blatantly that they care about nothing else. I wont see it in 3D. Same as Halloween and any other stupid film that doesn't need to be in 3D.

We're following up on F13 2, because even though we didn't love the first one, we still want the series to do well.
There's no reason why anyone would want a film to fail. I was just one of the many disappointed by the blandness that was F13.

oh silly michael bay.

ahhh, why 3-D? 3-D doesn't do well for horror films, the deaths look like crap

Well here's the problem...all you little basterds (you know who you are)..are the reason why they are making movies into 3-D, im not blaming the studios no more..i blame the viewers..because you are cheap and always look for the easy way..you watch or download bootlegs..thats why they want to make them into 3-D these days, to give a different experience when you go to the movies..so i thank you..for ruining our movies these days.

SUPER DUPER AWESOME! I will most definitely present the entire Friday the 13th horror movie franchise; either on VHS, DVD, or Blu-Ray; at the sleepovers of my future beautiful daughters and my future beautiful stepdaughters. The Friday the 13th franchise is the sexiest horror movie franchise in the world, and I am a true survivor because of them.

well, guess it's official folks: 3-D is the new C.G.I....or old, as it were.
i love 3-D - but only if it's done RIGHT.
now, i'm not gonna' jump the gun & say that this film won't be good with it, 'cause it could very well suck with or without it. 3-D these days acts more like an enhancer for lackluster films(& speaking of which, i'll go on record as saying that the next "Transformers" film HAS to be in 3-D!!) rather than an expansion of the visual experience.
i could look at the old, 3-D version of Vincent Price's "House Of Wax" all day because the effect expanded the feel of the story & film.
..funny thing is, having said all that, yeah, i'll go check this film out...& why?...because i'm a horrorite - i was raised on horror films & while American horror films have been suckin' like an old prostitute in a black hole for the past decade or more, i still watch half these films just for the habit of it, i guess...but it doesn't mean i can't critique or express concern or distain about the lack of horror - i mean REALLY scary horror - in these films.

Friady the 13th 2 in 3D Great idea
Posted by: CCR on October 3, 2009 at 21:49:40
3-D ruins the movie experience IMHO.. can never get into the film becuz as soon as a "really really cool 3D part" plays out, it TOTALLY reminds me that this is all a stupid gimmick and i can't get lost in the story...ya know, like how you're supposed to enjoy movies?
but since retards are easily amused, i just ask that hollywood leave horror movies alone!! there's a good reason that sh t died out in the 80's....becuz it SUCKS

Great--now we can be bored to death and get a headache at the same time. This is one reboot that ain't working.

@ horrormoviefan
They are stating an opinion just as you stated yours. I visit blogs about movies I hate all the time to express my hatred for a film or series. Thats what this is here for..Good or bad feedback. So ..Yea they dont need to get a life YOU need to accept the online world for what it is.
heres what I think. I think the ONLY remake they made that was decent was the texas chainsaw. And as for the f13 remake..I thought jason looked cool and derek did a great job portraying him. But I couldnt get past the ****ty ****ty casting and HORRIBLE acting..I dont wanna see 2 grown adults fight over a girl and the rest party obnoxiously.. There was honestly NO substance in it at all.
Yes the formula for a slasher is pretty simple and straight forward, but its 2009. And when you get a great story like friday the 13th to do what you want with theres no exuse for messing it up that bad.

Stereoscopic film making has had a start/stop history making the usage and knowledge of 3D limited to most filmmakers. We now have pretty much fixed all the projection problems nowadays which was the biggest problem in the old days. And there are numerous cameras available that one can use to view and adjust the stereoscopic variables on set - so now it's a matter of time that filmmakers start using the 3D as another axis with which to tell the story, hopefully a good story. If you haven't seen the original Friday part 3 in its original polarized 3D, then truck on over to UNDERGROUND 3D CINEMA web site and pick up a copy of the field sequenced version (they sell the glasses too. Stay as far away from the anaglyphic (Red/Blue)version as you can. Pay attention to the 3D closely and you'll notice things that aren't apparent in the flat version at all. In 3D Jason's shadowy bulk is much more easily seen stalking his victims; early on he' half in frame in foreground. In 2D it appears to be a shadow until you look closer, by then he's out of frame. Also note how the inside shots have a lot of depth while outside is a bit more claustrophobic. We need to see less animated 3D and more live action stuff in 3D. And maybe a lot less remakes - does anyone know an alternate universe where I could see original movies on a weekly bases?
