Predators Plot Details Revealed

Source:Latino Review
September 28, 2009

"Cuchillo." That's the name of Danny Trejo's character in Predators, the sequel Robert Rodriguez is producing with Nimrod Antal in the director's chair. This lil' nugget of info and more can be gleaned from Latino Review's video script review they posted today.

They've got the drop on all sorts of plot details which include the names of all of the bad-asses who are transported to the Predator home planet and thrust into its jungles.

It appears the eight people who comprise this varied troupe was kidnapped by the alien hunters. Armed to the teeth, they're forced to defend themselves from predator dogs, predator falcons, a "super" Predator (known as "Black Super Predator") and his buddies.

The review also says, if all goes well, there is still room for a cameo by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The film is being produced at Rodriguez's Troublemaker Studios and will hit theaters next summer.

Sounds weird. Anyway count on me.

So in a way, it would be as if the Predator's kidnapped Dutch-like bad asses and make them fend for themselves on their home planet?

Let's be serious. We know who's going to win...

As long as there are no more AvP movies, I'll be happy.

Sounds pretty good. But I wonder how many people are going to read this and misinterpret the "Predator" animals as being part Predator or Predator-like. Instead of totally separate creatures from the Predator planet.

I like the idea. It sort of harkens back to the idea that the Predators used to raise Aliens just to practice hunting them or whatnot. I don't know if that was originally in the comics or a book and then was done horribly in the first AvP.

But this could be great. I can't wait.

AVP could have been great if they would have made the trilogy based on the books put out in 1995.

tell me about it! that four-part comic series was fantastic. it's funny how most comic book based sequels/spin-offs turn out better than the actual theatrical sequels. anyway, can't be any worse than the AVP movies (lets hope). i hope they get the original look of the predator's right again.

At least it sounds better than a lame ass remake of the first one.. (and don't think they didn't consider the easy way out first..)

I wish writers would get an original idea, and quit making sequels to dead franchises, and remaking every other thing they can find.

I wonder if the predator planet is going to be anything like the planet in AVP2: Primal Hunt for PC? Those ****ing flesh-eating worms... or those saskwatchish lookin mongrels.. Yeah man, count me in.. rodriguez makes good stuff.

Yeah! Now that sounds like a kick-butt story. I'm glad its a sequel in the franchise rather than a remake of the first film.
