I am happy that he is directing halloween 3-d and he was amazing on my bloody valetine 3-d .

They should continue from the first one and forget all about what happened in the crap second one.

Todd Farmer stated on his Facebook page that he is "listening to the Halloween theme for no reason." There is a good reason now since he just confirmed his involvement in writing Halloween 3D.
Don't forget, Lussier was the editor on 1998's "Halloween H20" as well.

This is great news. It's time to actually get excited for a new Halloween movie again!. I liked Lussier's MBV3D. It was a great slaher flick with 80s overtones. This could be the return to classic Halloween and Michael Myers we've been wanting!.

This sounds like a backwards step to me MBV3D was too cheasy I walked out...The old Myers was classic, but I was growing tired of it. The new films, although not perfect, at least brought something new to the table...This is like people wanting Roger Moore back as James Bond..

So a guy who directed the remake of a holiday themed Halloween knock-off is quickly cobbling together a 3D attempt at keeping the franchise going at whatever cost...
And this is reason to celebrate?

I have no problem with the choice of director, but Todd Farmer is a horrible writer. Jason X, anyone? Now watch as this bald cheeseball puts himself into a scene, ala Jason X and MBV3D.

The only thing i can say is...we'll just have to wait and see how this truns out..because to me MBV3D was very cheesy and the if it is the writer of Jason X..i just shake my head at this..even though they have said it would continue after Zombie's 2nd one..im predicting another new story line (like how 1 and 2 are together...4,5,6 was about jamie llyod ..and h20 and resserection made it like 4,5,6 never exisisted)

Will this film be about Micheal Myers? cause the last movie called Halloween 3 Season of the witch was utter crap
Posted by: Steven Millan on September 19, 2009 at 18:49:41
H3/3-D will probably will be another storyline that ditches the previous ones(ala the previous other films),Cgace, instead of just properly tying them up together(with a decent explaination for all of those numerous storylines).
Posted by: Steven Millan on September 19, 2009 at 18:52:39
Yes,Dominic,H3/3-D will be an all Michael Myers story, for where it'll go (plot-wise)is anyone's guess.

3 may be my unlucky number.

This is excellent news. I hope Lussier picks up after the events of H20 and actually explores Laurie's son John, who was never mentioned after Resurrection when Laurie fell off the roof and presumably died???? In fact, they can make Zombie's Halloween and Halloween 2 movies based on the actual events (ala Scream/Stab) like the scene in Halloween 3 when Tom Atkins is at the bar and sees a commercial on tv for John Carpenter's Halloween. Why can't we write off Zombie's versions as movies that occured based on the events from the original Halloween. Sounds like an easy fix to me.

Well we had a good run with Zombie's epic Halloween, now it's time to return the horrible old ways of Halloween sequels, not to mention 3D. Yay we got an awsome different look into Michael Myers now it's back to unoriginal crap.
Posted by: Matthew H. on September 19, 2009 at 22:07:22
Labrat, you honestly liked BOTH of Zombie's Halloweens? That is incredible. Just incredible.
Posted by: Dservin2you on September 19, 2009 at 22:27:27
god help us all.
Posted by: Sulla on September 19, 2009 at 23:21:45
@Labrat: You took the words out of my mouth, well said because it's completely true. Back to the same old unoriginal ****...in 3D!

It doesn't really matter who they get to direct this....if it has to follow Zombie's Halloween storyline (i.e. white trash Michael), it'll suck. If they can start fresh (yet again!) then we'll see. MBV3D was average, at best. The script was awful, but the 3D was fantastic! Doesn't play half as well on DVD though. I miss the days when I used to get excited for a new Michael Myers movie.
Posted by: BAD LATINO on September 20, 2009 at 00:12:18
This entire movie is a 3D gimmick. Not a horror movie, not anything else. Just a gimmick to get your money. How anybody can be excited about this is beyond me.
Posted by: can'tbelievemyeyes on September 20, 2009 at 06:12:47
Why do so many people worship the old films?...You can't honestly tell me that Zombie's versions where worse the Halloween 4,5,6 and Resurrection? Resurrection was a joke!! ...It was like Michael was angry that he didn't get to become America's Next Top Model...Don't get me started on the crap that was Halloween 6...The thorn? Please...
If you honestly think that the old sequels are better, you lose filmic credibility...

I'm confused, will it be continued from H2 or from ressurection? Maybe laurie's son goes for revenge on Myers :P i dunno i hope it doesn't continue from H2 though..
Posted by: Cgace on September 20, 2009 at 09:47:12
They have said it will continue after Zombie's movies..now me personally i like Zombie's take on the series..to me..it was a horror movie unlike the gimmic of The Final Destination that you can tell is so cheesy..now granted i didnt think H2 was no where near as good as some previous halloweens, but still was better than FD4 when compared to horror movies, and with them wanting them to make it 3D just cuz they got beat by it this year, makes me worry about how cheesy this movie might be!
Posted by: Space on September 20, 2009 at 10:17:34
Glad to see Zombie's H2 didn't completely tank the franchise. Thank God they're releasing this. It'll help get that bad taste of H2 out of our mouths. Soon, no one will remember Rob Zombie was involved in Halloween.
