Kusama Wants to Subject Weisz to Body Horror

Karyn Kusama (exclusive interview) told io9 that there's a script on her desk she'd love to see produced.

"I would call it a psychological horror in the David Cronenberg tradition, that I'm tying to get made," she tells the site. Currently Rachel Weisz is attached to star, however, she can't say much more about the project.

It should be noted that funds have not come together to get it made, but Kusama is hopeful. Her latest effort, Jennifer's Body, opens in theaters this Friday.

Since Cronenberg is now apparently above making horror films it's nice that people influenced by his films are now at least making Cronenbergian films. First SPLICE and now this. Hopefully Cronenberg will eventually let somebody else direct PAINKILLERS even if the script he wrote bores him so much nowadays.
