One of their own is a key player in its creation, so it's apropos that Dread Central got the first word on Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy.
That's the title for the feature-length documentary on - what else? - The Nightmare on Elm Street franchise. Filming took place on August 22. Dread Central's Andrew Kasch and His Name Was Jason helmer Daniel Farrands are co-producing and co-directing this effort. The 2010 two-disc DVD release of the doc will feature over four hours of extras, including the original documentary I Am Nancy, written, produced and directed by star Heather Langenkamp which looks back at the last 25 years since her debut as heroine Nancy Thompson and examines the impact of the Elm Street films on young people's lives.
