Teen Wolf Remake Howls at MTV

MTV's reinvention of the 1980s movie Teen Wolf is moving forward, says The Hollywood Reporter. The 1985 film starred Michael J. Fox as a teenager who discovers he is a werewolf. The MTV version will be set in high school, draw from the horror genre to explore werewolf mythology and include a romantic plot line.

"It has a fresh take and is very different from the original," said Liz Gateley, senior vp MTV series development. "It has more of an 'American Werewolf in Paris' feel to it. It's a dramatic thriller with two best friends in the center who provide a great comedy element: They are two very relatable characters on the outer circles of popular cliques."

The new "Wolf" was written by "Criminal Minds" creator Jeff Davis, who executive produces the pilot with Marty Adelstein (Fox's "Prison Break") and Rene Echevarria (ABC's "Castle").

The first one was stupid. The second was even more stupid. This "fresh take" should follow the same pattern, especially since its being done by MTV.

So why call it "Teen Wolf"? Seriously? CALL IT SOMETHING ELSE! Is this cause the name pulls people in? Yeahhhhh, what a great flick the original was. People who would watch it weren't even alive back than.

It's called VHS and DVD. People who want to watch movies rent/buy them Hollywood. You don't have to waist millions remaking acceptable 80's garbage into unacceptable '10 garbage. BE ORIGINAL! ****!

so if it is totaly different from the first one then why not just give it it's own title and not call it a remake. i'm so tired of all these "remakes" that just have the same title and maybe names in them but are completly different movies.

wait if it is soooo diffrent from Teen Wolf THAN CALL IT SOMETHING ELSE just because you keep one thing in common doesn't mean it needs to be a remake just make it a sequal although that would just be stupid. Well whos gonna be in it probly zac effron and that one chick from twilight. Teen wolf was a good movie. Hopefully the remake is also good.
