I really think Kate should come back, but do these guys even HAVE a script yet? Or at least a concept of what this new trilogy is? WHo's working on it?

who needs her... third film is my favorite, even without her. more prequels is the way to go. stay away from the matrix-style shootouts and stick w/ the swords/blades and all-out vampire vs lycan carnage... the only actor I could care less about returning is Bill Nighy as Victor. Kevin Grevioux is always welcome as well... but if Ms Beckinsale thinks she's "too good" for the franchise we dont't need her. I say pick up direcetly where "Rise of The Lycans" left off...

I agree the prequel was surprisingly good. But I dug the style and action of the first 2 movies. Its an iconic character I would like to see her return to. And again, while the prequel was good, I weary of prequels. Still can't believe they are doing a prequel to ALIEN. No matter who's at the helm there, that's a lousy idea.

I don't understand Kate Beckinsale. She was asked if the role of Wonder Woman was offered to her would she take it? She said no because she did not want to wear the WW outfit and have her kid see her in it. but yet not only did she do a complete nude scene in the 2nd Underworld, she'll do another Underworld movie. As a vampire, killing and the like. This chick is lame.

People are funny, no one seems to understand what she's saying but they ***** any way cause she sounds like she doesn't want to do it.
She was contracted to do 2 movies, she did them, the third movie in the trilogy wasn't supposed to involve her and it didn't. Now there's a new one boiling in and no ones contacted her although someones walking around out there saying she's involved.
She hasn't been talked to! She didn't say no yet! She might say yes if it sounds worthy! There wasn't supposed to be a fourth!
Besides, if she doesn't want to come back, there's got to be other vampires out there. The story could be just as fine without her or her character. "Underworld" can encompass any thing.
And frankly I don't blame her for not wanting to be Wonder Woman, the project isn't/wasn't coming together very well. I also doubt there was much of a concept of how the costume would look other then every thing else we've ever seen Wonder Woman in.
I don't care what people say about the character being a strong icon for women, the suit says otherwise. The costume would need to be completely re-imagined in order to not look like a completely laughable joke, let alone usher in the coming of a powerful woman lead.

I really liked all 3 of the Underworld films. And like nearly everyone else I was pleasantly surprised at how well the 3rd (prequel) film turned out despite it's seemingly modest budget and new director. I would love to see Kate return in the proposed 4th film but could also accept it if it happened without her. But again the Underworld series is much more then one character played by one actress. I think the best way of getting Kate involved is to first develop a solid script and then get Len Wiseman (Kate's husband and director of first 2 films) attached to direct it. I also wouldn't mind if Tatopolis came back to direct, but either way I would love to see more films made as long as they don't progress too far off base and stay within the narrative and mythos that has been developed over the 3 films. As long as you do that and get any or all of the above people involved then I say make more films!

Do another Trilogy with Selene as a younger Selene when she would have looked like a teenager. Have the stories follow her, and lead up to the first Underworld. That's the way to go with a new Trilogy.
As for Wonder Woman, she couldn't pull it off, and I say that as a HUGE fan of Kate. I think that chick from Watchman would be better.

I would like to see what happens after the second film. Her narration at the end left it open-ended. That would be more interesting and new to me than telling another story that we already know the ending to like the 3rd movie. Plus Scott Speedman was awesome as the hybrid.

the only stories i am interested in seeing is undeworld the begining!a underworld that takes place after rise.and one that takes place after evolution. but i really hope they do the begining.

Can someone please explain to me WTF is up with hollywood and putting everything in 3D all of a sudden? What the hell? That question aside, if Kate Beckinsale doesn't come back then I don't wanna see it. Simple as that! Who else could carry on her vampire hotness? Megan Fox?

underworld the begining, hell yeah thats would be sweet.
Posted by: Dude on August 29, 2009 at 20:09:36
Selene = The driving force of Underworld and if you disagree then you can suck it. It really is her story at the end of the day...without her inclusion, its an epic fail. Do it Kate, theres no where else your career can go! Bleed this ***** dry.

its now micheal sheens f#$@ing movie @$$hole,and i would rather see the begining.i want to see corvinus and his kingdom, and his sons william, and marcus and how their story begins and why victor hates the lycans so much maybe marcus kills his family and blames his brother william and creates his owen army with victor as his right hand man.

In 3-D? let's not go there.
Posted by: Rupert P. on August 30, 2009 at 00:15:42
What is this obsession with constantly going backwards? The only way this series increases it's fan base is to move forward and make a bigger movie with Kate returning as Selene ala Vin Disel in FAST AND FURIOUS. Otherwise, these will become smaller and smaller films aimed at only those who can't get enough of the mythology. And the fact is, we already know all the history.

i say do a sequel to evolution, then do one about the begining, and one to fill the gap between rise and underworld 1.this would please all the fans.
