Remember Paranormal Activity? Yeah, that creepy indie darling by Oren Peli (interview) that played the festival circuit? It was about a couple who had been getting spooked to death in their own home so they decided to document their case via home video.

Peli has spent some time tinkering his picture. Within the last year there's been talks of test screenings. Alterations to the ending. And then came an acquisition by Dreamworks. Great news.

Well, Shock has learned that a limited theatrical release is coming. On September 25, in fact. We're digging for more information now, so stay tuned...

Who is your source for this? Sept 25 seems pretty last minute...are they sure there's even room in the cinemas for it?
