Shock Video: The Cast of The Final Destination

Source:Ryan Rotten, Managing Editor
August 26, 2009

Earlier this week, I ventured down to Beverly Hills to find Nick Zano, Shantel VanSanten, Bobby Campo and Haley Webb - stars of The Final Destination - not blood smears on the pavement but actually alive, well and itching to talk about their participation in the upcoming 3-D horror film.

The four play friends who survive a tragic race car event. Soon, they realize they've messed with death's grand design and will pay the price. David Ellis and Eric Bress return (from Final Destination 2) to direct and write, respectively.

If you want to see this movie, I'd recommend the 3D version. I saw the 2D and I was bored out of my mind. It was like a DTV version of all the other movies.

Dennis... where did you see it in 2D? Since there's only been one preview, and two press previews (one of which only had ten people) and all of them were in 3D...

Perhaps you're from overseas, where it's been released in several territories. Then perhaps you've seen it in 2D.

Or perhaps you work at Fotokem, or one of the theater chains, and you saw a tech run.

But if not any of those, I'm curious as to how you saw it.

He's obviously from a different country. It's not rocket science.

To really?--

I run a movie theatre and we received our prints yesterday. The Digital 3D print had a time lock on it that didn't expire until today, so me and my staff had to watch the 2D version. I think the 3D would have given the movie an extra kick and made it more enjoyable. I was expecting more, since the 2nd Final Destination was really good, but this was the worst one in the series.

Dennis, your thoughts are appreciated. I've said from the start it would be the 3D gimmick that would carry this one. It's nice to hear that maybe that is true. It's unfortunate of course - I was hoping for something more interesting than a subpar rehash that's only worth watching if it's in 3D. Guess I'll see how I feel after I fork over the ten bucks to see it.

These movies were great in 1 & 2 but they should have stopped there. 3 and apparently this one are just shells of the original with no new originality brought in. It's the same ol, same ol. I will watch this movie, but I am really not a fan of 3-D since I grew up when it was invented and it wasused up then until I detested it in any movie and because of new technology it has resurfaced and yet again I am digusted with it already. I would love to see something BRAND new and fresh sometime before 2020 if that's possible in hollywood.

I'm not sure if 3D will be enough to drum up ticket sales for this; but I was wrong about the others.

I know that Stinson loves it though. http://bit.ly/eLp01

By the way; Time lock!? Awesome!

Well, brickwall300, the statistics disagree with you, the third was the most popular of the series, it made over 13 million world wide
