I hope Ridley Scott shows his talent. And this franchise regains its status.
After Alien resurrection, thought these could never happen again. That was one of the wordt movies ever!

This is great news. Scott wouldn't return to the baby he created, and made him a household name, if he didn't think the movie had potential. He isn't going to make a piece of crap like Alien Resurrection, Alien vs Predator, or Aliens vs Predator: Requiem. Or let the idiot studio execs control too much of it like Alien 3. He's going to do it right and make sure it's good.
This movie's interest level just jumped from "let's wait and see" to "more anticipated than The Dark Knight 2."

mattiac, you can't see the forest for the trees. a prequel will give use the origin of the species and could be the most terrifying of all because of it. bak2bak they are but some people don't like them like Ridley Scott. I love them. but this will take use farther back then that. I just hope they keep the queen alien and not just go with the xenomorph being able to turn it's victims into eggs
