Clive Barker's Dread Finds a Home!

Source:Variety
July 22, 2009

After Dark's fourth Horrorfest has found it's second title: Dread, writer-director Anthony DiBlasi's adaptation of the Clive Barker tale. This is quite a coup for Horrorfest. The film is solid (read my early thoughts about it here) and likely one of the best acquisitions they've made. After Dark's next Horrorfest runs January 29-February 5 and also features The Graves - six more titles will be announced over the coming months. Click here for our Dread set visit preview.

Hell - yeah. The first awesome After Dark Horrorfest title - although there have been a few good or decent ones. They might even be able to make a bigger name for themselves now if this goes really well. I can't wait. Hopefully - they'll be able to acquire even bigger budgeted, off the radar titles later.

How come this didn't manage to secure its own theatrical release? When will we get to see it in the U.K. or Europe???

I surely hope that After Dark Horrorfest 4 gets a nationwide release(like the first two did)this time around(instead of this year's exclusive L.A.-only theatrical run),considering that two highly anticipated films(DREAD and THE GRAVES)are getting theatrical runs.
