Well if you were a true Resident Evil fan, you would have read the books. The movies are based off the books not the game. So Thats all I have to say on the subject. No movie is hardly ever based of the game...hardly ever.

A true fan... "based off the books". Are you sure? The books are exactly like the games, and the movies are nothing like the games. The only thing they took from the games are the characters names and some of the monsters. There's nothing wrong with that because they don't need to follow the game's story step by step. The problem with RE movies (and with most of the movies based on videogames) is they use the name of a well known franchise to make a movie that has nothing to do with what RE is (and I'm not talking about the story) and full of cliche (in characters, script and scary momentos).

The people behind the RE movies care just about money. Just watch the producers talking about the game in the bonus features dvd of RE1.
Paul W.S. Anderson is untalented. Maybe if he starts to work in other kind of movies, he'll grow up as director. And as writer... well...

To those Milla Jovovich lovers: I've no problem with her, but just having her in a movie doesn't mean that it's a good movie.

And I'm talking as a movies fan, not RE game fan.

the movies are ok...i wish they would would have went in another direction with the characters. i didnt understand the 3rd one, wtf....the zombies took over the whole world, in like 3 months? and if alice had the power to blow **** up with her mind, why not blow all the damn zombies up? and what happened to jill and that lil girl in the 3rd movie? if i had a choice ill make re2 into movie. oh, and what was up with the fight and the fight at the end of the second movie? she did kung fu on nemesis?

I think if we will wait so long for resident evil 4 needs to be a pretty good movie (I must say the best resident evil movie)

True the films aren't rewmaining to the general idea of the games, however, all the movies that the so called "critics" love turn out to be total pieces of crap. At least with Resident Evil we know its fiction. Crappy movies like Saw, deathrace, and The Grudge are retarded at best, and the rest are all dumbed down by pot smoking like the Friday the 13th remake.I wish they would make more of these films as long as they don't degrade them to the point no one watches them like American Pie Presents, Van Wilder 4, etc. I'm also waiting for another 28 Days Later sequel.

And another thing: stop making Final Destinations! Jesus, they're all the same. Person gets vision of death, dialogue: We're all goona die, you're crazy, death happens, dont you get it we're all gonna die in the order we were supposed to, end of the movie they all DIE!

I'm glad theres gonna be a 4th movie, I mean no the movies didn't have anything to do with the games minus a few characters, but all of you that are complaining that it doesn't follow the games would just complain more if they made the movies to follow the games and it wasn't to your liking. So if you don't like the movies, no one is forcing you to watch them, there are plenty of other zombie themed movies out there, not trying to be mean just honest

All I keep reading is about how the movie is not following the plot of the game. I quite honestly think if it did I would be bored with it. Who wants to watch a story they already know?? Its just another adventure. So go with it.

Ok, if the movies followed the games...I think 4 and 5 might be pushing the limits.....hey that's just my opinion and the reason they are shot from her perspective is to add a new feeling an new style to Resident Evil

Just because they dont base the movies off the games doesn't mean they suck! i love the games very much and the movies are great.. i dont know why so many people hate this series.. its better than most movies being made these days.i am looking very forward to this and silent hill 2!

I mean films are bad i don't dislike them a lot but killed Jill >> and Alice being more awesome than awesomeness itself that is Jill, final monsters should have been group battles or self-sacrifice battles not one on one with alice winning everything -,-
i look forward to watch 4 film to take a look at what they will bring up now.
At least if wesker gets super powers he will stand against Alice xD
