Did they just show me half the movie? Apparently, this one will be so bloody that even the preview is bloody? I hope this is good but...

Cool trailer, but...where's the HD?

Posted by: formulabill on June 22, 2009 at 11:50:49

This film will be rated R for R-Tarded.

hahahaha, I see they saw everyone was complaining about the crappy Sheri Moon stuff, so she's gone from the new trailer. Still looks like a pile of trailer trash crap though. Zombie's fans will dig it, as they'd dig watching him pee in an empty can of beans. Wasn't the trailer for Spider-Man 3 pretty cool? And we all know how that turned out. RIP Michael Myers movies 1978-1998.

Looks great

Very good trailer

Cannot wait for August 28th

Decent trailer. Much better than the first teaser. Just hope the film actuallly delivers and the trailer wasn't the best part. If the entire movie has the intensity the trailer had, it should be decent enough. I'm still a little unsure about all the crazy images (guy with the pumpkinhead, etc). Is this all supposed to be in Michael's head or what?

Posted by: GW on June 22, 2009 at 12:53:12

Ian, the original series of Halloween films died long before 1998.

But for those of us who don't cling to the past and don't cling to formula and are actually progressive enough to accept *gasp* a different direction for Michael - this looks pretty freaking great.

The funny thing is that this trailer was a more traditional Halloween trailer; it could have been lifted right out of the original series. No half-mask (except in one shot), lots of great shots of Michael being brutal, Loomis shouting stuff, Laurie running and crying - these are all elements that could have been pulled from any other Halloween movie in some way or other. Yet the haters still want to bash it. It's cute, really, their persistence. They'll run this movie into the ground all day, then cough up eight bucks to go see it just to complain some more.

Maybe that's not cute... it's actually kind of sad.

But no matter - this film looks great, and you can bet I'll be there opening weekend to see it, and to laugh at the haters who will be spending the same amount as the fans in line to see the movie.

Oh my God, that was simply great. How could you compare something like this to Spider-Man 3, thats funny_no wait_thats ****** hilarious actually. Cant even explain how much more I want to see this now:)Even with the hating, Im pretty damn this is gonna be the #1 movie at the b.o. and I already can tell its gonna deserve it.

Posted by: dude on June 22, 2009 at 13:10:20

Ian...um...you're saying that Spider-Man 3 had a great trailer, and that it turned out terrible. That's how you feel. So now, you're saying that this H2 has a ****ty trailer. By that logic, wouldn't that mean H2 is going to be fantastic?

I think the film looks great. Sure, you can tell it's a Rob Zombie film, but there's other directors who get piles of praise every day, and they're pretty consistent with their styles too. Tim Burton, for example.

If you want a director fanbase who will worship everything the man ever does even if it turns out to be completely garbage, look no further than James Cameron.

YES!

Pretty damn good...interesting no Sheri...sorta made it look like a proper halloween movie and not just rob's fantasy. But with or without her this movie is going to be good....see how drag me to hell was hyped as the first real horror in years and then it got a pg13 rating...yeh right raimi. Rob's got it down cos he is someone who respects the old school but is progressive enough to modernise it.

Very impressed with this trailer. i feel if Zombie released this one first, there'd be less *****ing about how it's gonna suck from people who haven't even seen the movie yet.

Posted by: Klynsy on June 22, 2009 at 13:24:11

I liked it...I'm really looking forward to this movie. Sure, the Sheri Moon stuff was a bit off in the first, but it still looks good. I'm curious to see what the Pumpkin Head is about...at least it's Halloween-related (holiday, not movie...well, Part Three)...but yeah, definitely gonna see it.

And Ian...it's not trailer trash. I know it's your opinion, but seriously. Did you see a trailer park ANYWHERE in EITHER of the movies? I didn't. Not yet. Maybe you can say white trash...which is also offensive...but it's deifinitely not TRAILER trash. The times are hard. Most people are living like that. Live in reality. Just cause its a movie, doesnt mean it has to be flashy.

Posted by: dude on June 22, 2009 at 13:48:00

I think the hate for Rob's style really shows the hypocrisy of many horror fans. They'll complain about movies like Prom Night having a cast plucked from MTV, and that everything looks too flashy and superficial, and then when Rob comes around and does the opposite, they complain about it. This just proves my theory correct more and more: many horror fans don't know what the **** they want.

For the first time in my life I can say this, "GW, I'm with ya!" LoL. Really though, that looked f@c*in' awesome! Hatters will be haters. Let them be stupid and die alone and miserable! LoL. I Can't wait for H2!

to be honest I liked the first remake, But I thought showing young Michael was pointless. I felt his family being mean to him and him turning into a killer because of it was predictable and not at all any brilliant twist. I think it would have been better if they made his family nice and he was just a bad seed. that part of the movie should have been alot shorter. I thought he badly developed the characters in the REAL movie portion. I thought the human Michael was a bad move and the cursing was way too much, I meen I don’t care about cursing but it was too much. Also he didn’t do the big chase scene justice. On the good side I liked the music, I liked how he made Laurie’s scary night more intense and something to really brag about surviving lol . ALOT of people might disagree with me but I think Marcus Nispel handled Friday and Texas very well and I think we would have saw something much better with him, I think if Rob just stuck more with the original story he might have saw the high box office that Friday did.

Im not hating at all btw , I look forward to this one.

great trailer...can't wait to see it in theatres!!!

Posted by: Eo on June 22, 2009 at 15:11:47

i love when movies that look this brutal have a early trailer that is not rated yet..i know it has to be official before they can stamp it..but if any movie was going to have a R this is going to be it...

Ive hated on this movie a couple times on these forums.. hated on the no mask thing..hated on his ****ty actress wife being in it..thought the teaser was garbage.. but that trailer made me a little more intrigued.. as much as i love originals and dont believe in remakes i understand its something we cant change.. zombie did a great job with HO1C..even better job with devils rejects..i wasnt that impressed with halloween but since i've loved 2 of his 3 no reason not to give this a chance...

Even though the idea of FD in 3D is pretty tempting..im not a fan of the Final Destination movies except the first..but after seeing a horror film in 3D like My bloody Valentine.. gotta say it seems pretty cool..movie wont be..but 3D probably will...
thank god for illegal downloading(lets see how many people rip me for that one)

That is the best footage so far. I have not liked much about what I have seen so far but that trailer looks good. Scout is gonna annoy me but I can deal with that.
