Goyer: Progress Continues on Invisible Man

Source:Ryan Rotten, Managing Editor
June 19, 2009

From the offices of his upcoming TV show Flash Forward, David Goyer provided me with an update this afternoon on The Invisible Man.

"I've since finished a draft and I'm in the midst of revisions for it right now," he says. "Universal seems pretty high on it. So, they're just breathing down my neck to get the revisions done. It's a movie they'd like to make."

Universal has The Wolfman on the way November 6th and the fate of a number of classic monster reboots will depend on that film's success. That includes The Invisible Man, the recently-announced Bride of Frankenstein and Creature from the Black Lagoon.

Yeah but this is going to suck because they aren't following the griffin story. At least the last time goyer posted an update on it. I don't know about this one. With a movie like the invisible man it's either hit or miss. No offense there are not alot of great actors today that could portray the invisible man like claude rains did.

I know im talking about completely different times but a movie like this in today's world people could not appreciate it and they probably would cgi the hell out of it. Back then you had to use and explore your mind and create your own imagination. I just hope they don't race this out to make a quick buck. They should really take the time to do this right.

Personally, I'm looking forward to this just so long as they don't do what they did in Hollow Man. Just explore the idea of the power that an Invisible Man could have over the world.

An invisible man remake??
I don't see it
LOL! Look at me I made a pun!
Seriously it could work the first hollow man was not bad. and with todays effects they could make it work. At least it is not the Chevy Chase movie Memoirs of an Invisible Man, now that was crap!
