Krueger Takes His Coffee With Cream

Jackie Earle Haley, the man who knocked us out with his take on Rorschach in Watchmen, is donning the infamous sweater, hat and glove of Freddy Krueger in A Nightmare on Elm Street. Big shoes to fill, no doubt.
In between stalking cast members Rooney Mara, Kyle Gallner, Thomas Dekker and Katie Cassidy, he's hitting Twitter, talking about his time in Chicago (where the film is lensing). Yesterday, he dropped this nugget of a photo that we found amusing. Sure, it's a cup of coffee, but look to the right...
The production is very secretive about the look of Krueger, Haley goes to and from the makeup trailer to the set with a bag over his head, so I wouldn't expect much more in terms of "revealing" photos.

Yeah, Jackie is a really good photographer - check out all his pics from Chicago that he's posted on his Twitter page, and you'll find interesting camera angles & often quite humorous subject matter in every one. Love the Freddy fingernails, love his sly sense of humor!
Along with being a truly classy, neat guy, Jackie is a superb actor, and I think his Freddy will be intense, surprising, and just plain terrifying. I can't WAIT to see this film!

I like my Nightmare on Elm Street with a dash of Wolverine on the side. So you get Freddie a cigar and some side-burns and a strange haircut and bingo. You got a great, re-imagined Freddie Krueger right?

I have faith in this movie, Jackie Earle Haley is a great choice as Freddy and will do the character justice. I mean im a big horror movie fan and apppreciate the original for what it is but believe entirely that this movie will be way better than the original.

This actually shows alot because if you remember the past movies, th blades were always curved at the end.

FYI...In Wes Cravens original script and story idea Freddy was a child molester and the studio and producers wanted to changed that to him being just a serial killer because back then they felt his backstory being a child molester was too strong to put on screen. But now these Hollywood and studios dont have strict rules like they used too.
So im happy that their bringing Wes Cravens original backstory for the character in this reboot. And J.E.H is a tremendous actor and i know he wont disappoint as Freddy.
