Twenty new hi-res stills and a clip have come our way for Blood: The Last Vampire. Truth be told, this clip scares us...in a not so good way. Why? See for yourself. Samuel Goldwyn releases this adaptation of the animated film in theaters on July 10th. You can access our hi-res photo gallery here.

Ouch. This scene (and maybe the entire movie) appears to have been given a murky, underlit filter to keep the CG from popping as much, but this creature still looks like Star Kid.

I liked that...I think both you, Colin, and those who work at Shock are blowing this out of proportion. Remember: this film doesn't have a Transformers-type budget of a billion dollars (see the irony here?)

Then again, this scene reminded me of the truck duel in Underworld: Evolution between Michael and Marcus - the monster even looks the same a bit, plus the foresty settings and whatnot.

Calum...
...sorry, but if you don't have the budget to have decent CG, then don't have CG. People made vampire movies for years without CG...it can be done.
If something looks like crap, it looks like crap...the audience won't care what your budget was.

Just like Transformers (effects) looked great...
...and it still sucked.
Now that's irony...

I didnt think it was that bad. Well maybe the part when the monster fell off the car and tumbled. But the rest seems fine to me.. He looks scary though. And I dont think the lighting for the rest of the movie will be like this. I think this scene was shot right after the sun sets.
