Brookstreet's Next Film is Not Jack Brooks 2

Jon Knautz and the team at Brookstreet Pictures (Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer) less than two months out from a principal photography start on their new film.

ShockTillYouDrop.com has learned they are in pre-production on The Shrine, formerly known as The Cult (exclusively discussed about here). Shooting is expected to begin in early August with Knautz back behind the camera with Travor "Jack Brooks" Matthews leading the cast which will be announced shortly.

In the film, a group of young journalists investigate a cult said to practice human sacrifice, but their ambitious ways may lead them to becoming the cult's next victims.

Has anyone seen Jack Brooks? Is it worth a rent?

@ DarrenSuds

JACK BROOKS: MONSTER SLAYER is a real treat I thought. I enjoyed it greatly and have told others about it who have watched it and have enjoyed it as well.

I didn't like it. It was too goofy for me. I'm all for the occasional horror comedy, but it wasn't funny.

I thought Jack Brooks was great, I thought it was original and really entertaining. for an indie horror film it was really well done

Thanks guys....sounds like at least a couple bucks on a rental won't be a waste.

Really looking forward to this. I absolutely loved Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer. It's up there with off the wall horror flicks like Evil Dead.
