ShockTillYouDrop.com has received teaser artwork and a lengthy synopsis for a film currently in pre-production entitled
Grimm. Early reports on the web have Russell Mulcahy (
Resident Evil: Extinction) as the director, but as you can see in the art below, it's Bruce Willis who is apparently the big name attached. We'll dig further, in the meantime read on...
Marburg, Massachusetts, USA - Teenager Katie O'Sullivan goes to a new babysitting job. Instead of a regular family, she encounters ghostly twins Henry and Grace and a terrifying apparition that drags her off towards a sinister tower. She is never seen again.
Soon afterwards, Pat Quinn and his family move to the seemingly idyllic town, where he is the new Police Chief. His second wife Ella has two daughters from her first marriage and Quinn has a daughter, Megan, and son, John, from his. On their very first evening John encounters the strange twins, as well as a huge frog, which he brings back to the house. Quinn makes him take it back to the pond where he found it, but that night a wet, naked young man forces his way into the house and Megan's bedroom. He vanishes before Quinn sees him, leaving behind a slimy trail. From this moment on, Megan and John notice strange things and people in the town, but when they talk about them, nobody believes them. Only Professor Kurland, who approaches Quinn to show him pictures of Katie and two other teenagers who went missing at the same time, thinks they're telling the truth. He warns Quinn that bad things happen to youngsters in this town.
One day, Megan and her best friend Ruth go to visit Ruth's grandmother. A wolf-like creature attacks them, having already savaged the grandmother. Ruth is torn limb from limb and Megan barely escapes with her life. As mysterious and frightening happenings occur one after the other, Quinn starts to believe there may be sinister forces at work in Marburg, but will he discover who or what is behind it all in time to save his family?

Sounds like a more sinister version of the stories of The Brothers Grimm...which makes me remember that movie The Brothers Grimm. None-The-Less, sounds like a very good movie that I'd like to see.

Sounds like something M. Night Shyamalan would come up with. Flash, but no substance.

this movie sounds amazing! it does sound like the grimm fairy tales. hence the title "grimm." espically, the wolf and the grandmother part. maybe megan is little red riding hood! either way, i'll be seeing this one.

I smell a blockbuster or is it just the last M Night Shyamalan piece of crap. It does sound like a movie he would do but will be as good as the plot sounds or will this be like "The Happening"?

It sounds like another attempt at Brothers Grimm Tales. It doesn't look like it will much more substance than Damon/Ledger movie.

Reminds me of The Brotherhood of the Wolf. Interesting still.

Well, I always said Bruce Willis would be a GREAT director in the end. Someone like a Clint Eastwood type of director I guess. Maybe it's the whole action star thing. Anyway, I think if Willis is directing it as his debut than it could be interesting. Otherwise, if it's the guy from ANY Resident Evil film it will suck......plain and simple.

ericdraven - that's what I was thinking. Especially the wolf and grandmother. Maybe the frog and Megan could be the princess who kissed the frog to find true love?

It's funny how people are talking about how this movie probably won't have any substance based off a synopsis.
A more sinister Brothers Grimm? The real Brothers Grimm stories were sinister as hell.
Funny, people ***** and complain about no original ideas in Hollywood and when there is one they, yep, you guessed it, ***** and complain.
And what the hell does M. Night have to do with this?

I love that bit "Ruth is torn limb from limb" followed by "Quinn starts to believe there may be sinister forces"...
Really? Just now? What gave it away? If that cliche plot outline was any worse, I swear it was for Japanese video game.

The Brothers Grimm fairy tales were extremely scary and meant to scare children into behaving. It was only over time that they were toned down and became the versions most people know now.

Gee...with a name like Grimm, I would have to think it's based on the Grimm Fairytales. A wolf-like creature savages grandma and Quinn escapes with her life.....Red riding hood anyone?
Another stink bomb of a movie idea

Um, Jason, are you really a moron? That is the whole point of the movie being based off of Grimm fairy tales. The frog prince, the Red Riding Hood...never mind. Man, people are idiots. At least you use proper grammar and spelling; I'll give you that. But your reading comprehension gets an "F".

The original Grimm's Tales were meant to terrify.. they were graphic in their violence, written at a time when this was the norm hundreds of years ago.....if they use the original stories, this could be interesting

Oddly enough, I am a direct descendant of the Brothers Grimm.

Nunya ..... you're the moron. You and Jason are in both agreement that its Brothers Grimm reference movie. You get an " F " for failing to read his post. Hopefully in the future you can actual take the extra minute to read someones post instead of skimming through.
Anyway back on topic, this movie is going to suck. This whole copypasta of bros grim is such an idiotic plot for a movie. Oh well, what can you say with hollywood spending countless money on stupid movies ie 5 saw movies, all the wayans movies etc etc
