Vanessa Hudgens Nabs Beastly Role

You've got to hand it to Vanessa Hudgens' people. They're working hard to brand this gal and keep her busy. The High School Musical starlet was once vying for a role in a "Twilight" film. Later, she signed up for Zack Snyder's Sucker Punch!.
Entertainment Tonight reports Hudgens is joining the cast of CBS Films' Beastly. Also in talks to co-star is 19-year-old British actor Alex Pettyfer (Tormented). Based on the young adult novel by Alex Flinn, writer-director Daniel Barnz's adaptation of Beastly is a modern-day spin on "Beauty and the Beast" in which a witch turns a young man into a monster.
