The Truth About the Terror Train Remake

Source:Ryan Rotten, Managing Editor
April 9, 2009

It took a few days to get to the bottom of this... On Tuesday, various outlets were directing their attention to the website of production outfit Freefall Films.

On their "upcoming projects" roster, they had the Terror Train remake - which we gave you the exclusive dirt on - listed as going into production next month with director Alex Wright attached.

It's a load of bunk. I reached out to Freefall on Tuesday morning and did not receive any response to my queries. But after making a few phone calls to those close to Terror Train, I was told there is no script ready, furthermore, no director involved.

There is a bit of truth to the info on Freefall's site - Emmet/Furla Films is producing. And, as we stated in our previous report, Phillip Goldfine of Steamroller Productions will still be shepherding the project along.

The original was pretty weak and I really don't look foreward to any kind of remake.I'll sticking with superior foriegn films.

Original was one of the few post Halloween slashers that was good. Remake will suck as the majority do.

How can they not have script if they already released it to one of those film festivals and has a trailer that makes no sense.

God I hate the fact that their remaking all these movie, The filmmakers are just running out of ideas for movies and they have to remake all the good ones. Seriously i hated the fact that they remade Friday the 13th and they just had to have Jared Padalecki in it, he sucks and all the other good films like Nightmare on Elm st and Halloween god more are just coming. Anyway i liked terror train mainly cause I'm a big Jamie lee Curtis fan but if no Jamie then i wonder how good it will be? but i would like to see what the remake looks like.
