I read the book and it was alright. It's not one of Stephen Kings better novels`

I thought that George Romero was attached to this movie?

I have to say that I am really glad that this movie is getting made. The first time I read the book I also thought it was an ok read, but years later I picked it back up and I have to say that it is now one of my favorites. I am aslo glad that it is being made now especially after The Mist, since that one proved that done right a Stephen King book can be made into and amazing movie.

The theatric version of "The Mist" didn't follow King's story very closely. Don't get me wrong, I thought the movie version was very well done. But staying with what he wrote, it didn't. Yes, it had obvious similarities, i.e. the mist itself, but moved into its own storyline (the ending). Hopefully they will stick closer to the story King wrote this time.

Ray
What are you talking about? The Mist followed the story almost exactly until the very end. There were some minor differences but it is probably the closest adaptation to a King out there. In fact it did'nt change the ending at all, it just added to it.
