If you must insist on commenting on articles please have the decency to use proper grammar and spelling.
Comments are the worst thing to happen to this website.

kow626, i'll say it again, WTF are you saying?! translate please!! if you ever want to be taken seriously or to be understood, learn to write/type even semi-coherently.
-------------------------------------------------------------
to the topic, i hope this DOES mean that the next installment 28 MONTHS(?) LATER is closer to coming to fruition!!

I'd personally rather see what happened after 28 Weeks Later.
Posted by: Jerry on April 7, 2009 at 18:03:06
Hope this will lead to a third movie giving continuity to 28 Weeks Later (28 Months Later), because there is so much material the writers can take. The story is very close to reality and that what separates it from other zombie-like flicks.

Jerry
Have you not seen George Romeros films? Unless you're talking about the fact that they actually arent dead, then i can see that.

Posted by: devil death on April 7, 2009 at 22:31:48
What will they call the new movies 28 monthes later and 28 years later and can't forget 28 centuries later

cool but... bring on the bloody movie already!
and i agree with "Comments have ruined this website"
kow626 learn to spell
Posted by: kow626 on April 11, 2009 at 11:39:03
i dont need 2 lern 2 spell. u peeple need 2 lern chat language. simpler, easier, quicker. misspellings r a given. it aint like lernin a foreign lang. look @ devil deth's comment. u got nothin 2 say 2 him/her bout how dey spell 'month?'
not worried @ all bout bein taken seriously on a site like dis or any other. if u hav no grasp of da english lang, den dats da only conceivable way u cant understand wut im typin.

So you have no problems typing out "conceivable" but can't be bothered to spell "what" or "then" or "thats" ...?
I think there's a misconception out there in internetland that typing in this bizarre shorthand somehow makes one cool or tech-savvy or web-savvy. It's rather unfortunate.
The end result of course is that people who do have a firm grasp of the English language and hate to see it butchered thusly will end up griping about the shorthand, thereby giving the "cool, web-savvy" person more opportunities to annoy the rest of us with his gibberish.
Or, put more simply: ignor dis ful n mebbe he b goin 2 find sumthin bedder 2 do.
Oh yeah - interesting news on the comic, though I too would be more interesting in continuing the story than dwelling on what's been done.

ok ok, i know this is kinda backwards since 28 days later came out first, but Robert Kirkman has been doing this for a long while now. these comics will probably have the exact same model as his early work on the walking dead. i always used to say how twd was 28 days later if they never ended the movie. and better at that. especially for the not so great 28 weeks later. but now it seems they saw their success and either aim to copy them, or try and grease the wheels for whatever theyre gonna call the sequal. lol 28 seconds later. itll be something stupid like that i bet.

kow626 seriously learn to type. you just sound like a retarded monkey, and even they type better. - anyway! yes this comic sounds awsome. however i hope it will have much better stories than the last graphic novel. which i thought was rather boring and the cliche accents. im from the uk and i thought the slang translations we're out dated and embarassing. just my opinion. im all for prequel stories because obviously it would be amazing to see how the character from 28days later ect managed to survive as long as they did.

So...does anyone else agree that there is a distinct difference between "the infected" in these movies vs zombies? I seem to remember director commentary on the first movie that they ARE NOT zombies, but people infected with a rage virus. I got into an argument with someone the other day that tried to say they are no different from zombies and that Dawn of the Dead was not the first movie to make zombies that run because of 28 Days Later. I disagreed because these are not zombies in these movies.
Posted by: Arthur on May 11, 2009 at 10:41:59
Still sounds like a good idea. Hopefully they continue the movie saga as well.
Posted by: Arthur on May 11, 2009 at 11:10:13
Space Monkey - Good point, and I agree!
In 28 Days Later, they never said the infected were actually dead. The infected are fueled on rage, whereas the zombies (Dawn of the Dead) are simply walking/running corpses. They are similar because they're both quick-moving and hellbent on killing. I'm not sure, but I don't remember seeing anything in 28 Days Later depicting the infected as cannibals. But zombies (in movies) are usually shown to eat live human flesh. The new Dawn Of The Dead didn't really show cannibalism but the Romero and Fulci films are famous for that.
If the monsters in both movies are exactly the same, then what about the creatures in the 'DEMONS' films? They're human shells controlled by an unknown force. They run fast and they're out to kill any humans they find.
I think a lot of people see these films and say 'Oh, more zombies' without actually taking in the story of the film. But most of these films have underlying messages and social commentary included.

I agree with Space Monkey and Arthur. i don't think people watch commentaries on films anymore. Personally, if you paid attention to the story you could tell they weren't zombies. 28 Days and 28 Weeks still scares the **** out of me when I watch it. I'm really hoping they make a sequel to 28 Weeks because this franchise has so far made excellent films. Just don't get SAW happy and make 28 sequels that tire out after the second film.

We all know they aren't zombies by now, but it's closer to zombies than anything else. I'm all for it, one "zombie" monthly isn't enough. I like the faster zombies anyways. Great comments on the "dis mite wait" guy!

Really "Weeks" was a good movie to all of you? I liked "Days" and was very excited for "Weeks" arguing with my friend about the fast vs slow thing and how 28 Days was a good movie. Then of course Weeks comes out to make me look like a D-Bag. It was bad. Like somebody sat around thinking of what the worst possible situation that could ever happen if the worst possible thing that could ever happened had happened followed shortly by the worst possible thing that could happen again.

I loved 28 weeks later. Unlike anything the overrated Romero has done.
