ShockTillYouDrop.com has learned the creator of 30 Days of Night is adapting a known Scott Hampton-penned property for the screen. We're told John Carpenter is eyeing to direct it. Hampton is currently the artist on Simon Dark, a comic series penned by Niles. This is a breaking news story and we'll keep you posted with more details as they come in.

Love anything Carpenter does. I hope he actually makes it!

Ghosts of Mars can't be Carpenter's swan song. That's just wrong!!!!

Scott Hampton, Steve Niles, and John Carpenter? Wow, that will be awesome! If it is a Scott Hampton property, I would love for it to be "Spookhouse", but it could be "The Upturned Stone". That was going to be made into a movie a few years ago, but now, it's up for grabs. Either way, I'll be there opening night!
