SDCC '10: Alex Aja Circling Remake of Maniac
Aja to produce, Levasseur to direct
 Shock is fresh off an interview with Piranha 3D's Alex Aja.
The French helmer behind High Tension, The Hills Have Eyes and Mirrors tells us that he's currently circling a remake of William Lustig's brutal 1980 film Maniac! "[It's] something that I want to be involved with my long-time partner and co-writer, Greg [Levasseur], will direct. It might happen," Aja says. Aja stressed, however, the papers were not signed and no deal has been finalized, but it is a project he's looking at. So, right now the project is a "maybe" for him.
