SDCC '09: The Cabin in the Woods Teaser Posters
Source: Ryan Rotten, Managing Editor
July 24, 2009
Just when I thought there wasn't going to be any surprises at this year's Comic-Con, MGM comes along and drops three teaser one-sheets for The Cabin in the Woods on us!
What is it? Oh, just the top secret, hush-hush, shrouded in mystery horror project the studio has been at work on with director Drew Goddard and Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Joss Whedon. Kristen Connolly, Chris Hemsworth, Anna Hutchison, Fran Kranz, Jesse Williams, Richard Jenkins, Bradley Whitford and Brian White star in this February 5, 2010 release. And the plot details are still being kept in the dark. But we can tell you this one is gonna be nuts and it's gonna be big. Enjoy the posters - yes, they're very, very Evil Dead/Cabin Fever-esque - and take a look at their specific "rules."

Well this is a throw off. I hope this means the characters will be smart and put up a fight, unlike the dumbasses in Friday The 13th, lol.

i really like these posters. not so much for the imagery but for the intent/text. i hope that this can live up to the earlier (not sure if it's still in full swing or not....YET) super-secret "this is going to be THE most amazing thriller/horror movie" riff (i'll just be happy for a GOOD thiller/horror movie from Joss!).

My one apprehension is that the will be Scream: the Evil Dead edition.

why does this look like the evil dead cabin?
Posted by: The Truth on July 29, 2009 at 12:47:09
It is the evil dead cabin! LOL
I wonder what this is all about/what kind of creatures we're talking about. Can't wait to see a trailer.

What does Sam Raimi think? You can't outdo the cult classic that is "the Evil Dead" series. I would only see it if Bruce Campbell is in it

what is the deal with joss' popularity? he isn't "clever" nor are his productions "subversive". and didn't kevin williams kinda nail the whole post-modern horror OVER A DECADE ago? "mastermind"? i think not.

hilarious! the last poster is the funniest! can't wait to see the trailer. oh and george? "everyone are blind?" is incorrect. it's "everyone is blind" or if you don't want to look like a complete moron, you should have wrote: "is everyone blind?"
