The book was alright, but nothing special to get excited about. This just shows how desperate Hollywood is getting for another Green Mile or Carry that they have to resort to making movies out of some of his lesser books. The King story that truly needs to be made, and not just talked about, is of course the Dark Tower series. OF course, a mini series on Showtime or better yet HBO would be more preferable though because of the sheer volume of the story.

The post was alright, definitley boringer than earlier attempts at remakes of do-overs. again. Maybe fanatics worldwide are just out of original proes......oh take a laxative to push that stick out and watch a dang flick, eat some milk duds, put on your jammys and CAN IT!!

First off the book was NOT a lesser book like the comment stated above. And it will make an excellent movie. I agree it is not kings best book but it will make an awsome movie adaption. If its advertised well they will have a hit. Stephen King ROCKS!!! Dont listen to that comment above about it being lesser. They just dont know what there talking about. This IS something to look forward to.

I, for one, found the original story highly entertaining. From all accounts Christian Slater performs brilliantly in the lead role.
I am extremely excited about seeing this one. 2009 is going to be one of the most memorable years for King fans ever on the silver screen,
