AFM: Guy Pearce Hits The Road

Last month, it was reported that producers of John Hillcoat's The Road were eyeing Viggo Mortensen ("The Lord of the Rings" trilogy) to star, and now ShockTillYouDrop.com has learned that Guy Pearce has joined the pic.

In the film, a father and son traverse a post-apocalyptic America facing wackos and cannibals. "Road" is based on the novel by Cormac McCarthy. Joe Penhall is adapting.

Hillcoat also directed The Proposition which starred Pearce.
