Shock Interviews: Frank Grillo & Zach Gilford on The Purge: Anarchy

Frank Grillo and Zach Gilford, stars of this week’s release¬†The Purge: Anarchy, were made available to the L.A. press last weekend. And even though our East Coast contributor, Ed Douglas, filed some video interviews recently (check them out here), I leapt at the chance to talk to these two.

Our discussion took place within one of the sets of¬†The Purge: Breakout, a nail-biting experience in which you are trapped in an environment and forced to escape before “The Purge” commences. My Grillo interview literally happened the second I stepped out of the experience, so my heart was racing.

In the film, Grillo plays a man who uses “The Purge” as an excuse to seek revenge. Gilford’s character, meanwhile, is faced – with his girlfriend – with a broken down car as “The Purge” begins. He’s forced to man up as the night goes on.

THE PURGE: ANARCHY was awesome! 10 out of 10 stars from me. i love it so much i’m planning on seeing it again on Sunday. Grillo as usual was amazing in the movie. but surprisingly every cast member (the main group) and their respective characters were likeable and didn’t do any eye-rolling cliche moves. great great movie.
