Bobcat Goldthwait's Willow Creek arrives in select theaters and on VOD this Friday, courtesy of MPI/Dark Sky Films, and we have an eerie exclusive clip to share with you. This snippet finds the film's protagonists huddled in their tent listening to something wailing outside. What's behind the sound? Can someone say…Bigfoot? Maybe?
I caught the film at the Fantasia Film Festival last fall – you can read my review here.
Here's a brief description of the film from that review: Goldthwait’s script introduces Jim and Kelly (the very capable Bryce Johnson and Alexie Gilmore) as they venture off to find the wooded location of the Patterson-Gimlin Bigfoot footage from the late ’60s. Jim is making his own documentary about the hirsute beast and Kelly is there to support/help, in spite of her lack of belief in the cryptozoological celebrity. And if Jim manages to capture a Bigfoot sighting along the way, his trip is considered a win.
