The Last Showing, Starring Robert Englund, Gets U.S. Distro

The Last ShowingScreen Daily says Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has picked up The Last Showing. Robert Englund, Game of Thrones’ Finn Jones stars with Emily Berrington.

Writer-director Phil Hawkins tells the story of a young couple, Martin (Finn Jones) and Allie (Emily Berrington), who have a night out at their local cinema.  They become unwitting stars of their own horror story at the hands of Stuart (Robert Englund), a disturbed projectionist.

Trapping them in the cinema complex, Stuart uses hidden cameras to play his two victims off against one another, directing them to a finale where there can only be one survivor.

I really wish they’d cast Englund in better movies. He’s always been great from where I’m standing so I would never cast him as something reminiscent of Freddy.

If i saw him cast in a mainstream film i would give the movie more of chance than normal.
