Commando, Firestarter Director Unleashes Poseidon Rex

poseidon-rexSo, we're being told that Poseidon Rex – starring Brian Krause – is coming to "theaters and iTunes" on April 18th. Most of you will likely only find it on iTunes because I honestly can't see this being a huge release. Still, it's something that is coming…and it's directed by Mark L. Lester.

These days Lester has been directing low budget creature feature fare, but, in the '80s, he helmed FirestarterClass of 1984 and Commando. Check out the trailer here.

Synopsis: A small, secluded island off the coast of Belize suddenly finds itself terrorized by a deadly predator from the planet’s distant past, when deep-sea divers accidentally awaken an ancient evil. Jackson Slate and his team of underwater cave explorers unearth much more than long-lost Mayan treasure while plumbing the depths of a world famous blue hole. They disturb a creature that’s been hibernating for over 60,000 years – a rampaging behemoth of death and destruction not only at sea but also on land.

That may be the case but different territories of the world handle films differently. It appeared on the Dutch SyFy channel, however, it hasn’t been released here in the U.S.
