Radio Shack Jason is Actually the Grandson of a Former Jason

radio-shack-jasonThose Radio Shack Super Bowl ads brought a grin to Friday the 13th fans when they saw Jason Voorhees make an appearance (check them both out here).  That grin, however, then paved the way for questions like, "Why is dressed like that when he should be in '80s garb?" and other hardcore fan inquiries.  Then came, "Who's the man behind the mask?" Because, of course, we all need to know who our Jason actors are.

Leave it to Yahoo! to get to the bottom of this.  The answer to that question is surprising!

The hockey-masked horror movies fixture has been played by many actors over the course of the franchise. RadioShack's Jason was played by actor Benjamin Bayouth — the grandson of Ted White, who played Jason in "Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter."

Pretty neat, eh?  Here are those commercials in case you missed them.
