Stevie Nicks’ Role Revealed in American Horror Story: Coven

This week brought news that Stevie Nicks would be making an appearance on the FX series American Horror Story: Coven.  This brought a smile to fans, of course, because Nicks and Fleetwood Mack have had a presence on the show.  Lily Rabe's witch, Misty, is a huge fan of the singer and the band.  It was only a matter of time before creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk worked their magic to bring Nicks on the show.

Murphy, speaking to EW, reveals that Nicks will appear on the tenth episode of this season.  That entry won't air until the series returns from its winter break which is coming up soon.  As for Nicks' role…

She appears as herself. It’s part of Fiona’s ruse in that Fiona is trying to get the true Supreme to reveal herself because she needs to stay alive. So she tells Misty Day that the Supreme gets so many great things in life, like tickets to the Oscars and Met Ball tickets. So she brings Stevie Nicks in as a gift to Misty to prove to her that if she exhibits more power she’ll get that and more. Then the other girls come home and see Stevie and Misty singing and it starts them trying to move much quicker to prove that they are the Supreme.

Murphy adds he's currently figure out which song Nicks and Misty will be singing.

    That’s just dumb.

I was hoping that the twist of her appearance would be that Nicks was a witch herself and her magic helped her success in music. Made more sense if you think about it.

I was hoping for this too. It’s a great idea. But I’ll just be glad to see her on the show and singing.

        Why? she’s awful.

Considering that her music is not very magical. I don’t personally think it makes any sense.
