Riddick Has Begun Casting, Characters Revealed

Here's the good news: Auditions are underway in Los Angeles for Riddick, the third film in the Vin Diesel/David Twohy sci-fi series.
Diesel is back at Riddick and David Twohy, once again, penned a script he will direct. Moviehole used their prowess to score a look at some of the new characters who will be featured in the film. They are: Boss Johns, Santana, a "sexy female merc" named Dahl, and the "smug commander" Krone. While the site does provide a detailed breakdown of who these characters are, I found this passage of its article promising: In a nutshell, the movie sees Riddick back on a barren planet, surrounded by monsters and mercenaries – both species who want him dead and vice versa. Though there's a couple of potential cameos from previous Riddick movie faves, it's mostly fresh blood this time surrounding the big guy. And speaking of fresh, the character seems to have gotten a welcome, kick-ass overhaul...he's more brutal, bad-ass and virile (as some may say) than he was in the previous films. Cool shit.
