Recently, I held a live-blogging session here during which I invited ShockTillYouDrop.com readers to watch Child’s Play 2, Bride of Chucky and Curse of Chucky while I provided my own criticism on the series.
During this session, however, I gladly welcomed series writer Don Mancini to drop in. Not only did he provide a commentary of Child’s Play 2, but he stuck around for parts of Bride and Curse, as well.
And since I had his attention, I figured I’d ask about the studio’s apparent need for a Child’s Play remake (which has been rumored and sadly inevitable). With the arrival of Curse, wouldn’t that remove the desire for a remake?
“True AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED,” he wrote me back. “Others could always overrule my opinion, but I think we’re in the clear.”
He added that the success of Curse will dictate whether there will be another Chucky sequel.
