Henry Selick is Looking for a Horror-Comedy to Direct

Would you be interested in seeing a horror-comedy from director Henry Selick?  Well, the man who has given us the animated films The Nightmare Before Christmas, James and the Giant Peach and Coraline is looking to slip into the director’s chair of a live-action horror flick.

It kind of seems like a no-brainer.

Selick appeared at the CG conference, Siggraph, where he told the audience he was looking for a new project.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, he said:

“I’m looking at some comedic horror films because I have often been accused of being too dark.  I’m not dark, not compared with Saw or anything like that.  So I’m looking at live action horror films, but not slasher ones — ones that have humor and maybe some social satire.”

When Selick finally aligns with a project, we’ll let you know!
