The Conjuring to Debut at L.A. Film Fest

Today the Los Angeles Film Festival, presented by Film Independent, in conjunction with Presenting Media Sponsor the Los Angeles Times and Host Partner L.A. LIVE, announced it will debut New Line Cinema’s The Conjuring from filmmaker James Wan (Saw, Insidious) at the 2013 Los Angeles Film Festival.

The film, which stars Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Ron Livingston and Lili Taylor, will screen in two theaters at the Regal Cinema at L.A. LIVE on June 21, first at 10:00 pm in Regal House 11 and 10:30 pm in Regal House 10 with both screenings followed by a Q&A with Wan.

The film is set for release on July 19 and is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

Before there was Amityville, there was Harrisville.  Based on a true story, The Conjuring tells the horrifying tale of how world renowned paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren were called upon to help a family terrorized by a dark presence in a secluded farmhouse.  Forced to confront a powerful demonic entity, the Warrens find themselves caught in the most terrifying case of their lives.
