Screen Daily reports director Robin Hardy and StudioCanal are searching for missing materials from Hardy’s cult classic The Wicker Man.
This year marks the film’s 40th anniversary and they want to release the most complete version of the film they can, so, Hardy has endorsed an effort to reach out to film collectors and archivists to find the pieces that will make the most complete version of the film possible.
Edward Woodward, Christopher Lee and Britt Ekland star in the film which, when initially released, came in at 88 minutes. Hardy’s cut was 102 minutes. Says Screen Daily:
