Guillermo del Toro is bringing quite a cast to Crimson Peak, his haunted house/ghost story. Yesterday saw Benedict Cumberbatch joining the project. Today, Variety reports that Jessica Chastain is in final negotations to star as well. This will be Chastain’s second collaboration with Del Toro after Mama, which Del Toro produced.
Emma Stone and Charlie Hunnam boarded the film a few months back.
It may seem early for Del Toro to cast up because filming doesn’t begin on Crimson Peak until February 2014, but he’s getting all of the pieces in place while he finished Pacific Rim and hits the promotion circuit for the summer tentpole.
