A killer clown? Check. A one-liner to make you smirk? Check. An unintentional (or maybe intentional) nod to another film involves “killer klowns”? Check. All are represented in an exclusive clip from Stitches, the horror-comedy that hails from the UK and is landing on U.S. soil next Monday (in a limited theatrical debut) and Tuesday on DVD/VOD. You can check out the clip inside.
Ross Nobel plays the eponymous clown. Years after a cruel kids’ prank during a birthday party for 8-year-old Tommy left hired clown Richard “Stitches” Grindle (Noble) dead on the kitchen floor, the childhood friends gather to plan a birthday bash to end all bashes. But they haven’t counted on the degenerate jester rising from the grave to seek vengeance on the children who mocked him and caused his grisly, untimely end.
