Melissa George Cast in Series Gothica
Gothica's cast continues to grow and, today, Melissa George (30 Days of Night, Hunted) has signed up to star, playing opposite female lead Janet Montgomery. According to Deadline, she'll play a "formidable force."
Currently, Gothica is only at the pilot stage, so if this proposed television drama does impress ABC, it could get scrapped like so many pilots do.

Gothica combines the legends of Dracula, Jekyll and Hyde, Frankenstein and Dorian Gray. In this incarnation of the story, written by Matt Lopez, Victor Frankenstein runs a hospital that does biotech research and believes he may have a way to bring his recently deceased daughter back to life. Montgomery plays Grace Van Helsing, a young woman who inherits her town's newspaper. Chris Egan also stars.
