Here’s what he had to tell us: “Eliza Graves is a movie that we’re setting up now that’s based on an Edgar Allan Poe short story, about an asylum at the turn of the century. It’s a very cool, patients-have-taken-over-the-asylum story. We’re kind of the in the process of casting that and getting it off the ground. I’ve always wanted to do a darker period type story, and I love Poe’s stories. So this is a good combination.”
A synopsis released last fall described the film like this: A young doctor comes to apprentice at a mental institution and meets a beautiful patient that he falls in love with amidst a set of circumstances, which may be more complicated than they seem.
