Since Shawn Levy bowed out of Fox’s upcoming Frankenstein film, things have been rather quiet. Today, however, Variety reports that there’s a new director on board and it looks like a star has been attached to play the lead.
According to the site, Paul McGuigan will direct from a script by Max Landis (Chronicle). As for the star, that would be Daniel Radcliffe (The Woman in Black) and he’s in talks to play Igor.
Once described (by Levy) as a “radical” re-telling, the film is the story of Victor Frankenstein and his relationship with Igor. Shooting begins this fall.
