TV: More Dexter Casting, Cult Moved to Fridays

As we all know, Dexter‘s eight season is kicking off earlier than normal this year with the season premiere set for June 30th on Showtime.

Now, the last we heard about the series, Sean Patrick Flanner and Charlotte Rampling were joining the cast.  Today, THR says Rhys Coiro (30 Days of Night: Dark Days, Entourage) is on board.  According to the site, he’ll play a “tough bail jumper” that Deb (Jennifer Carpenter) is after.

In other TV news, it appears the CW series Cult is having a tough time finding its audience.  The show, which concerns a television series that spawns rabid followers, didn’t perform so hot during its premiere and failed to improve in its second episode.

I’ll admit, I’ve  DVR’ed it and I didn’t mind the show.  It has an interesting premise.  Alas, it doesn’t look like it’s going to last that long.
