Let’s hit you with a barrage of casting news this morning, shall we? We’ll start with The Sixth Gun, a pilot in the works at NBC. Laura Ramsey (The Ruins) has joined the cast as a young farmer’s daughter.
Based on the Oni comic book, the proposed series is set “during the darkest days of the Civil War when wicked cutthroats came into possession of six pistols of otherworldly power. In time the Sixth Gun, the most dangerous of the weapons, vanished. When the gun surfaces in the hands of an innocent girl, dark forces reawaken. Vile men thought long dead set their sights on retrieving the gun and killing the girl. Only Drake Sinclair, a gunfighter with a shadowy past, stands in their way.”
Zane Holtz is the latest actor to join the cast of The Curse of Downer’s Grove. The film is set in a small midwestern town gripped by a curse that claims the life of one high school senior every year. Chrissie Swanson (Bella Heathcote) fears she is the next victim of The Curse of Downers Grove.
And, finally, Johnny Pacar will star in The Remaining, a film about a group of friends who scramble to survive a Rapture-like phenomena. Casey La Scala directs.
