Hey, Whatever Happened to That Lobo Movie With The Rock?
Last spring, it seemed it was all about Lobo, that bad-ass DC Comics character created in 1984 by Roger Slifer and Keith Giffen. Lobo was a Czarnian (originally Velorpian) bounty hunter who, as a nearly indestructible anti-hero, drives a space-faring motorcycle across the cosmos in search of his next target.
And he was expected to hit the big screen at some point under the direction of Brad Peyton (Journey 2: The Mysterious Island). And Dwayne Johnson was rumored to be circling the role as the eponymous "main man." But it appears momentum on Lobo has dissipated at Warner Bros.

John tells MTV in an interview that while the project was hot "for a minute ... it just kind of went away as things happen in Hollywood for a minute. I was interested in it, then it went away." Considering that Warner Bros./DC can't get their act together on a Justice League movie, this is not surprising.
