Lionsgate is renewing its focus on low budget horror (and comedy) fare. Variety reports a new division is being launched to cater to productions that run $2.5 million or less – a business model that many are aspiring to adapt to.
Two production outfits finding plenty of success utilizing this model is Blumhouse Productions (Insidious, Paranormal Activity) and Paramount Insurge (The Devil Inside).
