The Next Fright Night Remake, er, Sequel Has a Cast, Writer Revealed

In terms of the cast, it was previously revealed Jaime Murray (Dexter season 2) is playing the vamp this time.  But don't expect anyone from the remake's cast to return. 

Instead, Charley Brewster is being played by Will Payne (from the cannibal thriller Elfie Hopkins), Sean Power is Peter Vincent and Chris Waller (of the upcoming Inbred) is "Evil" Ed.  Yes, Ed is back despite his demise in the remake in which he was reduced to ash.

Here is the synopsis, in case you missed it the first time around.  As I've said before, it's regurgitating the  original and remake's plot.  Same ol' thing, new locations!

When high school student Charlie attends a study abroad program with his horror obsessed friend “Evil” Ed and ex-girlfriend AMY in Romania, he soon discovers their young attractive professor Gerri (Jaime Murray) is a real life vampire. Too bad no one believes him. In fact, Evil Ed finds it amusing and it only feeds his vampire obsession. When Gerri turns Ed, Charlie seeks out Peter Vincent, the infamous vampire hunter (well, he plays one on TV) who is in Romania filming his show “Fright Night,” to teach him how to take down Gerri before she gets to Amy, who’s blood will cure Gerri of spending eternity as a vampire.
