Max Thieriot Talks Psycho Prequel Bates Motel
A small slice of news we missed last week concerning Bates Motel - A&E's Psycho prequel television series - is that Max Thieriot was cast to co-star as Norman Bates' brother, Dylan, a character we exclusively talked about in our 10 Things We Know About Bates Motel piece.
Thieriot, who previously starred in Wes Craven's My Soul To Take, is currently making the press rounds discussing this Friday's release, House at the End of the Street.
Regarding Bates Motel, he told the press during a junket today, "It kind of came up quick and out of the blue, but it's exciting. I'm leaving for Vancouver on the 24th to start that. There are a lot of great people attached to that."

The actor will co-star alongside Vera Farmiga as Norma Bates and Freddie Highmore as Norman Bates. "I was kind of suprised, am I playing Norman Bates?" Thieriot said of his reaction when the project was first brought his way. "Obviously, I'm not, I'm playing his brother, who they created. That, for me, is more exciting because the character is unknown and can do anything. There's a lot of room to play there. Alfred Hitchcock is amazing, his movies are pretty awesome. It's all pretty exciting to be a part of something like that." Check out teaser art for the series right here. Look for Bates Motel to air sometime in 2013.
